Thursday
Mum walked into Bovey to meet us and then we took a drive up to the moors. The autumn colours look stunning at the moment. We stopped off at haytor for a walk (extra). Drove on to Widdecombe and had to drive carefully past a herd of cattle with their young, who were straddling the road. Stopped to admire them from a distance - and the view.
Had a wander through the churchyard at Widdecombe, followed by lunch at the old inn. Continued our moorland drive to dartmeet and had another walk. Saw some peacock, goats and hens at badger's holt.
Back to mum's mid afternoon. The workmen were just packing up. Bathroom window in now.
Dennis and I went back to our accommodation and popped along to the Cromwell Arms for a drink before dinner.
