Guardian Gods.
Today saw a visit to the excellent HK Museum of History.
It has exhibitions charting the formation of the land itself (lots of rocks!) to the first settlers & boat people who lived there through ancient customs & traditions. The latter part charted recent history - as a British colony, the 3 year occupation by Japan and through to it being handed back in 1997.
Again lots of photos taken, tons of amazing things to see. Hard to pick. But I liked these paper effigies of their guardian gods.
Afterwards wandered through the rainy (but warm streets) soaking up the atmosphere of Kowloon.
In the evening I went to see the HK Philharmonic Orchestra - they were playing Handel's Messiah. The concert hall was gorgeous and the concert was breath taking. Not allowed to take photos, but a great evening.
