Buds and budded

I blipped this budding hydrangea in Starbank Park on our walk this morning. There I also bought a small tray of primulas from a table display. I paid for them by popping a donation into a wee red-painted box.

The rest of my day was split between research assessment and 'day job' tasks (mainly email and planning). Over the course of the day I also communicated a 'brilliant idea' (that had popped into my head during the morning walk) to four of my colleagues. All of them seem to like it, so we're going to follow this up: watch this space for news!

I'm looking forward to a relaxing weekend, wine glass already in hand.
