Pleated Inkcap

As I stepped off the buggy to help the children off their bus this morning I spotted this beauty in the grass. I snapped and googled to discover it was a pleated inkcap. I pointed it out to K who was taking the children for a Walk on the Wild Side workshop. She said she would show the children once they were all gathered and talk a little about mushrooms and toadstools. They gathered their bags and lunches, and K asked them to turn round and look. It was gone! They had walked over it! My first, fleeting glimpse of a pleated inkcap! 

I’ve not felt on top form today, but at least have some antibiotics now, so hopefully will be on top my game by Monday!
