Spillway

The Lower Nihotupu Reservoir in the Waitākere ranges. Built in the 1940s to supply water to Auckland. There are four others in the area but this is possibly the easiest to reach. We called in on the way back from a morning out with our friends. Until a couple of months ago these reservoirs were well below their normal levels and we had water restrictions in place. Now they're 100 percent full. Hopefully we don't have another exceptionally dry summer. Thanks for the hearts etc on yesterday's flower/eclipse combo.
