Sutherlands History

Today a friend and I had the enjoyable task of photographing an event. A local group are researching all the old schools that have been closed down over the years. Today it was the unveiling of the history of the Sutherlands school 1883 to 1938. Nowadays the old school is being used as a hall for gatherings of those who live in the area. The old man who unveiled it was 93 and remembered his school days there going by horse and cart. It was a momentous event. My sister who lives in that area was very involved and rang to see if I would record the event
It was actually a fun afternoon out with a piper and all and a very posh afternoon tea
