Destination Sandy Balls New Forest Holiday Village

Car loaded to the gunnels, we headed off on our jolly hols. Sandy, Josie, & myself, Andria,the fourth member of our party joining us at our final destination coming down from Sussex.
* A35 CLOSED due to road traffic incident -  reopening 11.30 -12noon. We made an unscheduled stop at a Costa en-route to discuss re routing. Decided to head to our planned pit stop at Grange Nurseries. No hold up. Our coffee stop (Coffee shop CLOSED for Xmas decorating). We had a browse, stretched our legs, then headed off again.  A35  beyond pit stop closed so we followed the coast around.
Reached our planned meet up with Andria at the Fighting Cocks pub just along from the Resort ... CLOSED on Mondays & Tuesdays.
Hey ho!! Checked in at reception, then headed for the bar as our accommodation would'nt be available until 4pm, which we knew.
Our lodge was perfect for our short stay.  I got the double bed .... THE first time  since our yearly tours began back in  2006. Very comfortable it was too.
We're all going vegan for the holiday as Andria is vegan. Not a problem, an interesting exercise in fact. Sandy made dinner the first evening, homemade nut roast, braised red cabbage & roasties, followed by homemade vegan brownies, fresh raspberries, & non dairy cream. We all gave it the thumbs up. :-)
