The Corinthia Hotel
Today I went up to central London for afternoon tea with my daughter in the Corinthia Hotel. I’ve not been to this hotel before for the tea but it was recommended by friends. ( we have been to the Tom Kerridge restaurant there which has really interesting decor - dark green walls and lots of artwork by his wife, very different from the traditional decor in the main hotel) . We were very pleased with the service, the surroundings and the food etc. A lovely experience…no afternoon tea possible at this time last year!
The blip is of the Decor over the whole lounge where tea is served. They did have some Christmas decorations but quite understated not like the gaudy ones in some places.
Nice and quiet in the hotel with good acoustics but It was so busy elsewhere…at Waterloo partly because of the rugby match at Twickenham and in Covent Garden there were so….many people I found it quite unpleasant and we did not stay long.
