Crims, Covid and curry-less
An old fashioned Scottish cream tea (sultana scones, bramble jam, thick local cream) during a wind down day of domestic chores and seeing neighbours.
Last week was meant to be a quietish, post-COP26 madness recovery affair, but turned out to be a bit different. Headlined by another cyber-attack-induced nightmare, when a key global water monitoring tech supplier in Germany got attacked, and the impacts reverberated across all countries which used their software to underpin their flood warning systems. The work and ingenuity some of my colleagues demonstrated to find work arounds and sticking plasters as part of business continuity plans was inspiring. I played a supportive role, while looking after some big business as usual affairs, so yet again no rest for the wicked!
Meant to be out for a curry tonight but instead stuffed by others being struck by Covid, so unfair for them. Bugger.
