Young Swan

Another evening walk around my lake but I had company tonight. My other half had come back from Preston and needed some fresh air.

As the hour had changed it wasn't late enough for sunset but the sunlight was quite subtle.

This young swan - I'm not sure at which point they stop being cygnets?? - was interested in me as I stooped to take a few shots over the lake - I suspect he/she wanted food.

There's just a little of the sunlight on his neck and I liked the dark blue colour of the water against his almost white feathers.
