Simply beautiful
A day of rest. A few sudoku puzzles, after failing to complete the Guardian cryptic from Saturday. Set by Paul, and I just couldn't catch his vibe today. Even when I vaguely recollected one clue from a past puzzle by him, the solution was not forthcoming. Some reading, and a jog this afternoon.
As I ran along Fidelis Beach I saw a Tuturiwhatu by the seaweed exposed by the low tide. And nearby a Torea pango (the black morph of the Variable Oystercatcher). I have posted a photo of the latter as an extra in acknowledgement of my Journal's title. I have been running more this year than for a few years. Neither fast nor long; nevertheless satisfying.
The rose is one we planted in a bed along the northern side of the house, where it seems to be doing very well. neither of us can remember its name. The multi petalled roses are very lush, but the simplicity of this rose really appeals.
