In Winter White
Perhaps more flurries
today, but I wait for some
sunshine. Maybe soon?

No sunrise to note this morning. (sad face) I was out the door at 8 to pick up some breakfast and find some photos. It was 1 C and overcast.
I drove to McArthur Island and parked near the north entrance. The recreation centre is in use as an evacuation centre for residents of Merritt, recently flooded out of their community. The island was rather quiet this morning.
As I was walking back to the north entrance, a lovely little doe popped her head up from the bank near the walkway. She kept her eye on me but continued to eat and seemed undisturbed by me. I think she was eating the willow leaves she found on the ground. I walked to the end of the pathway to take photos into the slough. She was still busy eating in the same spot when I returned.
As I drove through to the east exit, the ducks were under the foot bridge as before. The Canada geese were taking up the fields, although I have no idea what they would find to eat there. Grass?
I will need to clear off my driveway again this afternoon when it warms up a bit. I hope to share dinner with my daughter. I might hope to get some quilt blocks cut.
There could be some flurries today with a high of 4 C. The forecast says it will clear tonight with a sunny day coming tomorrow. I will hope for the best.
