A Tiny Bit Of Pink

After many grey days I woke up to sunshine this morning. Well, to be honest, I woke up when it was still dark, but once the sun rose I could actually see it in the sky! For awhile this afternoon I sat near a bedroom window where I rarely sit during the day and soaked up the sun coming through while I read a book. It was bliss!

Sadly, the clouds gathered and the sun only appeared occasionally for the rest of the day. I made a soup in my soup-maker and filled a flask. A friend came over and we went for a walk in the woods - the same place where I was last Monday and again on Friday - Maidenhead Thicket. My friend had never been there. We walked to one of the picnic tables and had some soup, apple, cheese, coffee and biscuits. Then we carried on and kicked through the carpet of leaves.

Once we came back to this more open part of the thicket, the sun was trying to peak through and it gave the grey sky just a tinge of pink. Subtle - but I still like it!
