Almost walked on by
Must have been his colour or
The twinkle in his eye
I asked no prying questions
Like who, what or why
A child's toys from yesterday or even years gone by
Abandoned at rivers edge leading to the sea
A smile without meaning
Eyes that do not see
Nevertheless
Non consciously
Has given a few rhymes
To this world to this time
To little ole me
