Autumn chiaroscuro

A neighbour WhatsApped me yesterday.  Thinks she's got covid. Would I post her PCR test.  She's been volunteering at a vaccination centre and is older than I with vulnerable conditions but she's been thrice vaccinated. Picked up her test this morning just after 10am. A battery for her thermometer also required.  Couldn't find one after trying John Lewis, Boots (where the thermometer was purchased), Whsmiths, Rymans, Sainsbury's, Superdrug even a phone repair shop.  Had to purchase a new thermometer.
Delivered thermometer keeping my distance.  I'm not willing to befriend delta variant.
Took hound for a chilly walk. Light lovely though the leaves. .
