Conservation Cave
Another lovely day diving. The sun was shining, and we had a lovely first dive at Fox Point where I saw Maerl for the first time (a fragmented coral). We sat out in the sun for a picnic lunch on Tanera Mor, before heading round for an afternoon dive at Conservation Cave on Tanera Beag.
The anemones in the cave are wonderful, but by the time B and I got in the water the swell had picked up and it was like diving in a washing machine! We headed out of the cave for a bit of a rollercoaster dive in strong currents with occasional surge. I think we covered most of the major terrain types in our half mile adventure: kelp, boulders, a wall, rocky gullies and sandy bottom.
I only managed to grab about two photos on this dive, both of a rather wonderfully colourful patch of Dahlia anemones.
