Dream
Another beautiful blue day! We are in the process of trying to buy a new sofa - and set off again to the shops (I hate shopping) so decided a treat had to be had first. Hence a visit to Sutton Manor Woodland in the sunshine before the shops. The woodland is on the site of Sutton Manor Colliary which closed in 1991 with the first trees planted in 2004 and this huge 20M high sculpture errected in 2009 . The artist Jaume Plensa suggest 'When we dream, anything is possible.... ' A point my husband and I debated on our way back to the car. The site is close to the M62 and apparently, according to the website, 100,000 vehicles pass each day (maybe more now I expect). Walking back down the hill I noticed the extra (Fiddlers Ferry coal fired power station which was decomissioned last year). It was due for demolition in 2020 but this has been deferred due to the pandemic (accoridng to wikipedia!)
