The faces of Monday

I got a brief hello couple of texts this morning before she headed off for practice. I then got a very brief phone call tonight to say she wasn’t allowed to say more than explain the fact they are all being punished for something one child did but hasn’t owned up to. Their devices have been banned, they’re not allowed their tuck and Saturday treat food is cancelled. I don’t agree with blanket punishment for singular misdemeanours. I feel it’s damaging to relationships with staff and in children’s confidence to report problems. And I don’t think contact with their parents should ever be used as a punishment.

Anyway. I’m sitting on an email for now.
