Fancy footwork

I finished the Christmas quilt I started last December today - it has sat around a a quilt top for nearly a year!
As I find it hurts my fingers to hand stitch the binding down I finished this one by sewing the binding to the back, flipping over to the front and securing with a decorative stitch using my sewing machine. I used a red and black metallic thread for the top side and cream to blend in in the bobbin. I think I like the result - it was certainly easier!!
