The Very Last of the Clematis

You may remember way back on September 27th I posted this blip of Clematis florida 'Taiga' which made a stunning and very late appearance in my garden. She's still hanging on...not much left in the garden after yesterday's hard frost. A I touched the blossom to gently rearrange it, the petals started falling off. So this really is the end of the clematis. 

A quiet day, which I really needed...other than a quick grocery shop to pick up the last bits for our quiet Thanksgiving. A very cold walk early afternoon followed by some time at my desk. I'm about to go work on my jigsaw puzzle and make a lazy dinner...no, the dinner isn't lazy, I am ;-)
