Skirrid sunset

We went to visit my Mum today over in Olney. Coming back through the Forest of Dean and down into Monmouth at about 7.30 this evening I caught the sun through the car windscreen just before it slipped below the horizon. On the right hand side you can see the Skirrid from the other aside, with the Sugar Loaf apparently behind it, because of the angle and the distance. As we drove home listening to Words and Music on Radio 3, the sky turned glorious shades of pink and blue. Go here and listen to the movement from Paul Mealor's Stabat Mater at the end of the programme. Sublime - it might just be my new favourite piece.
