Two Kinds Of Poppy

Red Shirley poppies with orange and pink California poppies, all self sown. Usually at this time of year my garden is ablaze with poppies, but this year there are very few. Not so many came up, and most of those that did were eaten by the sparrows. I’ve not known sparrows to this before. The speed with which they demolished big healthy plants was astonishing.
