Waltham Abbey

met up with a friend in Waltham Abbey today. We walked around the site of the old Abbey and the gardens. The Abbey was the last to be destroyed in England and what remains of the old nave is now the Abbey Church. Unfortunately it wasn't open today so we retreated from the cold to a local pub for lunch. Later visited the Epping museum nearby . As well as some interesting local exhibits they had an exhibition on board games and some hands on games you could have a go at which was fun, even though I lost!
