Monteagudo

Katie was at work so we had the day to amuse ourselves. So tostadas, a tour of the Cathedral tower and a long, dusty hike into the suburbs to see a massive statue of Jesus on a hill it was! Katie had told us that the Christ of Monteagudo was in "some random suburb" rather than that it was a good hours slog along a no-name mainroad drag of auto-repair shops, dubious housing choices and only occasional pavement ("I suppose it is a bit sketchy" she admitted later...) The statue is pretty cool though, and the view is very good and we got the bus back. And then later we took the daughter out for more drinks, more tapas and churros from a van. Good times...
