Kitchen Floor Solar Flare

Today's image was actually taken from a sitting position on my kitchen floor.
I had dropped an apple on the floor and when I bent down to pick it up I noticed the way the light was casting these strange shapes and patterns on our kitchen cabinets. Therefore, I abandoned the dropped fruit, grabbed my camera and captured this image before the light changed!
The left hand side of the image really reminded me of a solar flare. I do have to own up to fact that I have tweaked the image to make it a bit more dramatic than it actually was - nothing wrong with using a bit of artistic licence now and again!
