In the city

I go into Edinburgh for a conference/expo at the EICC. It’s a pretty dreadful IT jamboree, with vapid talks from (mainly) self satisfied executives. The high point is a panel discussion about scaling data science teams - but that might have been because is just come back from a liquid lunch with my friend Dave.

The other high point was my visit to Specsavers, where they managed to screw the second leg back onto the frame. I’m due another eye test anyway, so it should be good enough until then.

Back home, I’m volunteering as a mock interviewer for Stemettes. As usual, the interviewees are less numerous than expected, so after my first interview they let me go.
