Well hello....
.. please make sure you get my best side, while I help myself to a little food.
The birds were waiting in the trees for me to fill up the feeders. The nuthatch could contain himself no longer and came straight to get some food. He poked his head up, said hello and grabbed a few seeds.
The RSPB website says that nuthatches are not normally resident in Scotland. This one seems to have been living around our area for most of the winter. He is always at the feeders and seems to enjoy whatever I put out. I wonder if he will have trouble finding a mate, if there are not many in Scotland.
