Wine Labels
Out shopping today I found myself looking for a blip and came across quite a few possibilities in the wine department at the market. Wine labels fascinate me because there's always a story behind them. I knew this story just had to involve a dog, so I picked it for my blip. I thought it was a particularly touching story, especially the association with Paws For Purple Hearts.
"Winemaking goes to the dogs! Our beloved Soft-coated Wheaten Terrier Ty, also known as “Big Guy”, spent many faithful years welcoming guests to the winery. Whether walking through vineyards to inspect grapes or in the barrel room cleaning out barrels prepping for the next vintage, Ty was always happily by our side. His high-spirited presence was guaranteed to make any day that much better. Sadly, Big Guy has left us. As a tribute to his memory and all of the beloved four-legged friends that have gone before him, an unwavering wine was created to keep their spirit alive.
Much like Ty, Big Guy Wine has playful flavors and is ever constant. Blended to create an easy-drinking red wine with lots of ripe red fruit aromas and flavors, the wine is enjoyable young, while the tannin structure and acidity will allow it to develop gracefully for several years. Enjoy a bottle with friends and family at your next BBQ and don’t forget to share a nibble with your faithful friend looking up at you!
Big Guy Wine Cellars has committed to donating $2.00 of every case sold to Paws for Purple Hearts, a non-profit organization dedicated to helping service veterans by providing them with the highest quality service dogs and canine-assisted therapeutic programs. PPH's goal is to improve the lives of American warriors facing mobility challenges and trauma-related conditions such as PTSD and TBI. Big Guy Wine Cellars understands the sacrifices made by America’s veterans and wants to do its part to ensure PPH can continue to help those that have made the sacrifices that guarantee us our daily freedoms."
