Fiordland

Headed to Milford Sound through glacial valleys with enormous mountains rearing up beside us. We love you Slartybartfast.
Booked in for an overnight cruise out into the sounds.....we're finally blowing some of the 'fun' budget!
The Milford Wanderer took us out in the Fiords (They are not actually Sounds, according to the on board naturalist...I really hope I'm using the right term - he had his clothes on). Saw sun bathing young seals, who also get bitten and as bothered as we do by the sand fies and plenty of waterfalls. We then moored up and went kayaking for a closer inspection....oh I felt small! Had a very quick swim, 15 degrees is about as warm as it gets but it soon sent a tingle through me!
3 course dinner on board, hot showers and a night time stroll on deck rounded the night off v nicely. What a treat......
