Lunch is served....

after being caught!  The sparrowhawk flew into the garden today for some snacking - RIP the poor collared dove who didn't get away in time and  whose feathers I now have to clear up from the lawn! It was amazing to watch the sparrowhawk in action though and she even allowed me to get quite close while i was taking photos - my creeping/stalking skills for birdwatching are improving! 

A cold and grey day today so extra layers on! We had a quick trip to Southend this morning as needed to get a few gift tokens - my favourite present to buy people! - and managed not to buy myself any books! A rare event!!
