The light was lovely when I walked across Penicuik to get some groceries at 15:00, so there was the prospect of a good sunset. I chose a route back that would give me a view of the Pentlands but then realised that, since the sun sets so much further south these days, the colour would be in the wrong part of the sky. So, I had to resort to the view from the attic.
