Mr A is off to Cardiff tonight until Sunday for work, so we had our last meal together (for a few days anyway) at the Crafty Fox.

This is the home of the Ashley proclaimed ‘world’s best cheese pie’ but we both swore to try something else.
Paul (the owner) said his pies are the most popular item on the menu; he serves around 160 a week (including the steak pie too).

He’s a character; a proper ‘Manc’ and the decor in the bar features lots of references to Northern places and bands.

This mural is the feature of the upstairs front wall; he had it commissioned especially and the backdrop is of Accrington. Next time we go, I think we will sit here so I can take my time to see all the people and going’s on properly. :-)
