Waternewton Lock
After a sunny morning, I managed to time my walk for the precise moment that it became overcast. For a change I decided to do the circuit out along the River Nene and back along Ailsworth backwater, which goes past Waternewton Lock and gives good views of the church on the south bank of the river. This is a fairly timeless scene - but not a view I've photographed in autumn before.
Pete had his Covid booster jab, and after boasting that he hadn't suffered any side effects, suddenly started feeling quite unwell this evening. I looked up the side effects of Moderna, and they often seem to start after 24 hours and can last for up to three days...
