OK, who did this?

Four innocent faces looked up at me … ‘not us’ .. so that well known person ‘nobody’ must have done it!
I noticed a small split in the top seam the other day and did nothing - now I have a long split to repair. Needle, thread and thimble ready, it won’t be pretty -  I don’t sew, I knit - not much good for this.
I should have remembered the old proverb ‘a stitch in time saves nine’ !!
