Building Sand Castles

A chilled day today relaxing on Long Island and chatting on Skype. It was a lovely sunny day so late on I headed down to try to visit Fire Island and take the classic shot of the lighthouse. This was as close as I got as the whole area was cut off due to the rebuild efforts. They are building up the sand barrier like a castle wall to protect from future hurricanes. I am not sure it is the best plan. My sister recommends these things are best avoided and retreat is the easiest and best option.
In the evening I had a nice dinner in Brooklyn before joining a meet up event with drawing, music and games. Great fun.
