One Photo: Two Art Projects

The mural (it's an Extra) behind the bus is part of the Sea Walls project that I photographed in September. Too bad you can't see the whole thing now that it's finished. The new double bus travels between the university campus and town, and can accommodate all the students who have to get to classes on time. The UC Santa Cruz mascot is the Banana Slug (Go Slugs!), which explains all those happy yellow creatures painted on the bus.

We had lunch at the Farmers Market and then walked around downtown, pointing out the latest construction/destruction projects and including a tour of several of the murals. Never fear, we did have some knitting time in our sunny backyard, got a head start on Thanksgiving food prep, and cooked a nice dinner as well.
