The road less travelled

MrsPuff and I went out on another blip excursion today,we headed North to temuka a whole 12km up the road in days gone by that possibley may have been a day trip from Timaru to Temuka return by horse and cart. This part of the Main South line which travels the length of the South Island from Lyttleton to Bluff. Growing up as a small boy in Invercargill we lived within a good walking distance from the railway line and I used to watch the trains go past the cemetery but alas all good things come to an end because the shiny bums in Wellington stuffed it all up. These railway lines are all but ornimants now with the Road Transport industry carting most of the goods by truck. Mr Wiki
