Thatched festivities

The village has switched on the Christmas lights. I like the contrast between thatch and LEDs! I wonder what the original thatchers would have made of this?

Lovely to have our daughter for lunch at our new home today.

This evening I had a voluntary shift in town. My late night drive home was delayed first by a combine harvester (for vegetables?) and then a new road closure for road surface repairs.
