Hydrangea

Earlier this year we bought a hydrangea plant which flowered and provided colour indoors. After it had flowered we cut off the old flowers and planted it in a tub outside where it grew much larger and flowered again throughout the summer. Although it is almost all over until next year, there are still some nice late autumn colours. I made this image this morning using a black background and only natural light from the window. For anyone interested it was made from a focus stack of 9 separate images. It's amazing how much value you can get from a potted plant purchased in a supermarket!
