Half Mast

This one is especially for my Irish and UK friends.
The building is our local "bit of everything". The Health Centre, the Library and the Old folks Home.
One of the senior citizens has passed away and hence the National Flag, which isn't flown on a daily basis, is taken out and flown at half mast to mark the passing of a valued member of society. This happens all over the country in such centres and even at apartment blocks. A lovely gesture.
