Kilmun Church

Kilmun with religious roots going back to the 10th Century has been the scene of religious pilgrimage and bitter and bloody clan feuds.

The first kirk was founded in 1442 by Sir Duncan Campbell, Chief of the Clan Campbell.

Today the midday sun casts a reflection across the aptly named Holy Loch towards the church and the ancient gravestones on the steep hill behind the church.
