Last leaves
A bright sunny but cold start to the day. I enjoyed a water fitness class first thing before returning home to accompany our son in law to the hairdressers. He was taking Lucas to have another haircut and as the previous one had been pretty traumatic we weren't looking forward to it. However everything went very smoothly, he was sitting on a booster seat this time clutching an old fashioned metal car in each hand, that was given to him by the hairdresser. She then started to cut his hair while he was fed small biscuits. This followed by some Hey Duggee on the phone kept him totally amused. He didn't even complain other than to give her a quick look when cutting close to his ears, and he came out with a very smart haircut. Just goes to show you can't anticipate what will happen.
In the afternoon I quickly called by Woodbury Common to see how the beech trees in the Iron Age fort area were. Most had by now lost their leaves but a few were hanging on.
In the evening it was another camera club meeting, this time in person and we had a talk by an accomplished wildlife photographer.
