Apple

This is an experiment involving a close-up picture with fill-in flash. Experiment, because I abandoned the safety of automatic everything and strayed into manual territory. I experimented pretty wildly, bumping the ISO up to 1600 and choosing a wide aperture of f/5.0. The selected speed (1/100 sec) was a bit low for handheld but I was banking on the flash crisping up the image. In fact, despite the high ISO, the image was not as grainy as I feared. I bounced the (dispersed) flash off the white walls and ceiling of the room I was in to supplement the daylight (not bright sun this morning)

Not a great photo, but a successful experiment for a learner. Pity I didn't have a nicer apple though.
