A storm approaches...

Looks all set to kick off this weekend weather wise in the UK so we will see how we fare! This was the scene this afternoon as I looked out of our lounge window, over to the Thames and the huge cranes at London Gateway Port at Thurrock.  

Still not feeling too fantastic today, but did manage to go and visit our friends and old next door neighbours as it's their severely handicapped daughters 16th birthday today - amazing when she was only given 18 months to live when born.  So lovely catching up with everyone if only briefly and always nice to see the cats - Fred was very friendly today and Frank was outside hunting some poor creatures!!

The drama with the tumble dryer rumbles on...! Another engineer came today, took the machine apart, put in a new heater! All seemed well!!  That's until the last half hour when it's developed the same fault as before!! aarrgghh!! Mum and Dad are now going back to the shop they bought it from to see what they suggest! I know what I'd suggest - never buy a Hoover product!!
