Wildlife in the garden

Caught on camera: a pheasant and deer wandering through our garden. Note the fallen leaves- we are leaving them since they provide winter refuge for creepie-crawlies.
 
We are in the grip of Storm Arwen in Scotland with winds up to 90 mph and   blizzards forecast for up north. Police have issued red alert and we are urged to stay at home though the worst areas are on the east coast and further north. 
 
Bad news – a new Covid mutation, Omicron, has been found in South Africa.
