Sally Mair - Loving life

Friday today so the link to the art quiz is at the end. 8 for me today! Some lovely items in the quiz too.

The day stated quietly here when Katy tiptoed in fairly early to pick up a couple of things before her walk with Ali. We had a cup of coffee together which was nice. They had a pleasant stroll along the Water of Leith, before the wildness of this afternoon.
I finished off packing up the Christmas puds, 1 large and two small all ready for next month. In fact, I don't want to worry anybody, but four weeks tonight a bearded gentleman will be making his way around the world on a delivery route. I hope it's a little less windy or the reindeer will be in trouble.
I filled up all the bird feeders this afternoon, the wind was already getting up and I had to weigh things down before letting go of them, as it was, one plastic lid was off and over the fence when I turned my back for a moment! The way things are going tonight I may need to refill them all tomorrow!
We had a lazy dinner, a Tesco Indian meal, it avoided any creative brain power being used. Just right for today. The winds are building up, we put most things into the garage out of danger, but I just looked out the back as the automatic light came on, to see the garden bench turning over onto its back. It's wooden, not terribly heavy, true, but I had wrongly assumed it wasn't at risk from the storm.
I do feel for our local community, the lights turn on was tonight, and tomorrow is the Christmas Market. Its largely out doors in the local streets and folks 'gardens and people have put so much work into it. I don't think there was much being put up outdoors tonight, but it will mean a lot more work tomorrow. Hopefully the storm will, as predicted, have passed by then. Nobody will want to be out and about around the trail of the weather is like this.
The wind warning is downgraded from red via Amber overnight to yellow from 9am tomorrow, with gusts down from the present 99km to only 54!
My blip is of one of my many, confused, spring primula. I love the colour of this one so am happy to see it for a second time this year.
Stay safe everyone, Zoë tells me that my third vaccine means that I am 95% protected from risk of Covid.

I hope they are right.
