Open house at Aksel's

Aksel's house (ref. my 23 October blip) was open for inspection today. Believe me, I'm not easily shocked but the squalor overwhelmed me. It inscribed more deeply my relief that no one was living there any longer.

The photo is a good representation of the state of the place but also shows that someone there was at one time learning Japanese. No doubt it was a better place in the past. Auction 11 December.
