Great Spotted Woodpecker

Another very wet and windy day so this morning after filling all the bird feeders again I sorted out some books to take to Scotsdales next time we go. I inherited them from a long-dead relative and it is time they went. They are mainly science fiction and art books, not my type at all.

Today's picture is of a male Great Spotted Woodpecker.
