Rainbow

Having run out of excuses to avoid parkrun, I went today. The weather wasn’t too bad, although the fen wind was bitter. The drove was well muddy, so it seemed safer to walk; our slow pace meant we could have a nice chat, which is rare for me – I normally run out of puff.

We were encouraged mid-run with the stubs of a rainbow, which grew into this huge beauty. Can you see the outer band?

After we finished, we were rewarded with another huge rainbow over the leisure centre (see extra).

The rain caught up with us after that, and of course this was the one time I was early enough to go there on foot. I was cold and stiff by the time I got home. A cup of tea and a shower later, and I’m now warm and stiff.
