Bahrain recorded 26 new cases, 0 fatalities and 16 recoveries today.

DAILY average of coronavirus cases registered a marginal increase last week, The average number of new cases per day went up to 28 between November 18 and 24, compared with 21 during the previous week.
BAHRAIN has reinstated the travel red list following the emergence of a new Covid-19 variant. The six countries on the list are South Africa, Namibia, Lesotho, Botswana, Eswatini and Zimbabwe.

Omicron, dubbed a "variant of concern" by the World Health Organisation, is potentially more contagious than previous variants of the disease, although experts do not know yet if it will cause more or less severe Covdi-19 compared to other coronavirus strains.
The variant was first discovered in South Africa and had also since been detected in Belgium, Botswana, Israel and Hong Kong.
Britain has detected two cases and authorities in Germany and the Czech Republic also said they had suspected cases.

Britain said it was expanding its "red list" to put travel curbs on more southern Africa countries, while South Korea, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Oman and Hungary also announced travel restrictions on southern African nations.
